Honeywell (Nasdaq: HON) recently released the latest version of Experion® PKS - Experion® PKS R530, leading the way in new automation technologies and functions. This technology update integrates new capabilities to enhance existing control room installations through firmware and software upgrades and help Honeywell's product portfolio address three powerful trends - automation, future aviation and the energy transition.
Relying on more than 20 years of mature technology, Honeywell's latest version of the product further expands the support capabilities of Experion® PKS HIVE, making users' existing systems smarter in terms of automatic distribution control and connection to more devices. The platform is now able to integrate new verticals as well as Honeywell digital and sustainability initiatives such as Honeywell manufacturing excellence, emissions monitoring and battery storage.

The release of Experion® PKS R530 introduces the Experion® Remote Gateway, further enabling remote operations by providing a browser-independent method to simplify monitoring and operations. In addition, the upgraded Ethernet interface module allows Experion® PKS HIVE to integrate intelligent communication protocols while optimizing the operating load of the C300 controller. These features provide customers with excellent security, reliability and performance.
Experion® PKS provides industry-leading flexibility in automation system design, engineering, deployment and ongoing maintenance. Compared with traditional automation solutions, using Experion® PKS Control HIVE can reduce the number of controllers to 50% and the number of system cabinets to 80%. Experion® PKS Control HIVE also minimizes manual intervention, ensuring smoother, safer operations and reducing the risk of unplanned downtime that could impact users.
