The purpose of this Product Notice is to inform you of a potential anomaly that exists with the 1734-IT2I POINT I/O  Two-channel Thermocouple Input Module, series C, revision A01, firmware revision 3.010, with digital filtering  enabled.

When the 1734-IT2I module’s input channel is connected to a thermocouple and digital filtering is enabled, the  module may read temperature with an offset of 30 °C (54 °F). For example, if the temperature is 100 °C (212 °F), the  module may read 130 °C (266 °F).

We request that you take the following actions: 

  Determine if you have a product affected by this Product Notice. Refer to the Product Identification and  Description sections of this document for identification help.   If possible in your application, implement the Temporary Workaround until the correction is implemented.  

 Follow the 1734-IT2I Module Replacement Instructions supplied in Appendix F and verify proper operation.
